Hi I'm Laura Saavedra, Mind-Body-Nutrition and Eating Psychology coach, and founder of Fit & Balanced. I believe living a balanced life is essential. I learned this the hard way after experiencing a stress burnout 5 years ago.

As a woman, mother, corporate professional, wife, daughter and entrepreneur, I know how stretched our time and energy can get and the consequences of not managing this.
​
During my stress burnout, I reflected on my life. I dived into personal development and learnt loads about myself but there was still something missing...
​
After having two kids, I felt unhappy with my body. I disliked looking in the mirror or taking selfies. I was unfit and often exhausted. I thought a health transformation programme was the answer but guess what happened?
​
Six months down the line, I was physically fit and had more energy BUT I was obsessed with my weight, calories, food restrictions and exercise. I went from "unfit and unhappy" to "fit and under pressure".
​
I thought "there must be a better way to get healthy without going to extremes". So I became a professionally certified Mind-Body-Nutrition and Eating Psychology coach!
​
I studied the profound connection between food, body and mind and how our emotions impact our lives. This has helped me, and other women like me, find happiness and balance.
​
Now I eat healthily but I still enjoy all foods. I stopped counting calories, weighing myself and restricting. I exercise because it makes me feel good. I even gained weight intentionally as I was underweight at one point. I feel fitter and stronger than ever before.

My physical transformation photos tell a story yet the biggest change was in my mind. I am much more relaxed and in love with myself again!

I am still a busy bee! I work part-time in my corporate career, run my coaching business, my home and take care of my family. However, the DIFFERENCE NOW is that I look after myself and manage my health, time and commitments with self awareness, self-love and balance!
​
I've experienced the extremes - from not looking after health to becoming obsesed with diets and exercise. My story is a testament that IT IS POSSIBLE to create a healthy and balanced lifestyle without diets and overwhelm.
​
It is now my mission to coach and inspire women to look after themselves, feel good and find balance in their lives.
